Simon Patterson was born in London, grew up in South Africa and lived for ten years in Italy; he is currently based in London again. He has over 25 years’ experience in communication training and coaching, and has worked with over 2,000 professionals. Clients include industry leaders such as Microsoft, GlaxoSmithKline, UniCredit and Fiat (these through Canning Italia, S.r.l.) Simon also works with communication professionals such as translators and editors, as well as with academics. He is a trained social scientist and researcher.
Simon currently offers face-to-face and online communication coaching. He specialises in helping professionals prepare for upcoming events such as conference speeches, job interviews, business presentations and written submissions including corporate reports and academic papers. He deals with all types or written and spoken communication, and with all phases from preparation to performance.
Fluent in Italian, Simon is a professional translator and editor, whose particular interests include ongoing career and personal development, as well as organisational consultancy. He has undertaken numerous editing and translation projects and specialises in economics, investment, financial reporting, corporate governance and compliance.
Simon holds a BSc in Geochemistry from Reading University, a BSc in Psychology from the Open University and a Master’s in Organisational and Social Psychology from the London School of Economics.
